SHORT ITINERARY
Day 1: ATV at the Montaña de Colores 3600 meters (11,000 feet)
- 04:00 am Pick up from hotel
- Drive to Japura (3 hours approx)
- Breakfast and start the ATV ride in the community of Japura.
- Hike from Qosqopata – Colored Mountain (45min approx)
- Visit the mountain of colors
- Lunch in Cusipata
- Return from Cusipata-Cusco
DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1 ATV TOUR IN THE MOUNTAIN OF COLORS
- The tour to the Montaña de Colores begins at 4:30 to 5:00 hrs in the morning with the pick up from your hotel.
- After a 3 hour tour we arrive at the restaurant in the village of Japura where we will have a delicious breakfast of the area, consisting of juices, bread, coffee, fruits, eggs.
- After breakfast we will continue with the tour to start the ATV’s, in this place our staff will teach you how to use the ATV’s to start with the tour on the ATV’s by a road specially designed for you to enjoy beautiful views of the mountains, snow-capped mountains, lakes and high Andean fauna, after 45 minutes of travel on ATV’s. We will arrive to the place called Qosqopata where we will leave the ATV’s to make a light hike of 45 minutes to reach the mountain of 7 Colors. Upon reaching the top of the mountain we will have enough time to take videos and pictures of the Vinicunca mountain and all that surrounds it.
- Then we will start the return which will be easier since everything will be downhill. 12:00 hrs We will take our transport to our restaurant in the town of Cusipata where we will have a nutritious buffet lunch in the area.
- Finally we will return to the city of Cusco where we will arrive at 17:00 hrs approx.
