With the “Inca Jungle Trek Tour Machu Picchu 3D“, we will make a different trip to Machu Picchu, in this tour you can enjoy the ancient trail traced by the Incas, from the beginning of the Inca Jungle trek to Machu Picchu. You will have a combined adventure of landscapes, mountains, rivers and sports until you reach one of the seven wonders of the modern world.

DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 01: CUSCO – ABRA MÁLAGA – SANTA MARÍA
- 05.30 hrs Pick up time from your hotel. We will leave the City of Cusco and head towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, here we will have time to have breakfast.
- We will board the transport and continue towards the Abra Málaga (4, 350 meters) starting point of our bike tour. After a brief explanation to help you orient yourself, the guide will provide us with the necessary equipment for the activity.
- We will start the descent by bicycle of 3 h 30 min., 55 km until we reach Huamanmarca. During the trip we will experience the beauty of snow-capped mountains and tropical forest, cross small streams and enjoy the change from cold to tropical weather.
- During the trip, we will stop several times to check the bikes and equipment. We will arrive at the town of Santa Maria (1, 200 masl) where we will have lunch and spend the first night in a hotel. In the afternoon we have the option of canoeing on the Vilcanota River. This river offers category III and V+ rapids. For this activity we will give you helmets, windbreakers and life jackets of category V. This activity is available between the months of April to December and you must know how to swim to participate according to Peruvian law.

DAY 02: SANTA MARÍA – LLACTAPATA – AGUAS CALIENTES
- After a hearty breakfast, we will zip-line “We run in the air over the Andean mountains”. This activity lasts approximately two hours or we head uphill for 2-3 hours towards the Llactapata Pass (2,736 m), where we will find a spectacular view of the Machu Picchu Sanctuary from the southeast, a view that few travelers have the opportunity to admire.
- We took a short break to explore the ruins of Llactapata, which have recently been restored. We arrive at the Hydroelectric “Village Station”, we will continue walking next to the railway until we reach Aguas Calientes or Machu Picchu town (walking time 3h approx.
- Upon arrival at the hotel we will rest and take a bath, later we will have the celebration dinner with our guide and a last informative session for our experience the next day which is to visit Machu Picchu
Note: if you wish you can take the train from Hidroeléctrica to Aguas Calientes 40 minutes away, you must buy the ticket in Santa Teresa or hidroeléctrica (the price is not included in the tour) and coordinate with the guide one night before. They will meet the rest of the group at the train station in Aguas Calientes.

DAY 03: AGUAS CALIENTES – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
- 05.00 hrs Very early after breakfast, we will take the bus to make the tour to Machu Picchu. This is the most important day because today we will visit one of the seven wonders of the world, we will appreciate the sunrise at the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu.
- Once inside Machu Picchu, we will have a 2-hour guided tour, we will see its most important temples, such as the Temple of the Sun, Temple of the 3 Windows, etc. Then we will have free time to explore Machu Picchu on our own.
- If you booked in advance, the Huayna Picchu Mountain (2,800 meters) or the Machu Picchu Mountain (3,082 meters) will have that opportunity after your guided tour. You must make reservations to climb any of the mountains three months in advance for an additional cost of US$20.
- Once you have finished enjoying Machu Picchu, you will return to the town of Aguas Calientes walking or previously booking the bus up and down to Machu Picchu and checking the train schedule be 30 min. before to board it and get to Ollantaytambo and return in our private mobility to Cusco.
Note: If you plan to hike on the mountain of Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu you must make reservations in advance the rate is US$ 20. Space is limited to only 400 people per day.
