Welcome to beautiful Cusco, the historic capital of Peru! The Classic Walking Tour is a different alternative to the traditional City Tour and offers a unique perspective of the city of Cusco.

We will start our tour visiting the Mirador de San Cristobal, from where we will be able to appreciate a breathtaking panoramic view of the city of Cusco. Then, we will start our walk through the old streets of the city, such as the 7 Borreguitos street and the colonial aqueduct.

Afterwards, we will enter the old neighborhood of San Blas, one of the most picturesque and bohemian neighborhoods of the city, where we will find several interesting places to visit, such as the church of San Blas, the artisans’ workshops and the Mirador de San Blas.

We will continue our tour walking through the oldest Inca streets of Cusco until we reach the famous Stone of the 12 angles, where we can take some souvenir photographs. Finally, we will go to the main square of Cusco, where a brief explanation will be offered to complete this unforgettable tour.

WALKING TOUR

A very popular sightseeing experience that consists of a walking tour through the historic city of Cusco. During the tour, visitors can explore the most emblematic places of the city, such as the Plaza de Armas, the Cusco Cathedral, the Temple of the Sun (Qorikancha) and the San Blas neighborhood, famous for its local artists and artisans. In addition, the tour offers breathtaking views of the city from nearby viewpoints and the opportunity to learn about Andean history and culture from local tour guides.

Day 1: WALKING TOUR 3400 – 3500 meters

  • Pick up at the hotel
  • Transfer to Qolqampata neighborhood by car (10min aprox)

DETAILED ITINERARY

DAY 1: TOUR IN CUSCO – WALKING TOUR

The tour begins with the pick up from your hotel and then we will go in our mobility to the neighborhood of San Cristobal (Qolqampata), located in the upper part of the city to have a panoramic view of the city.

Continuing with our tour we will arrive to the Qantupata neighborhood where we will enter the street of 7 borreguitos, one of the most beautiful streets and visited by tourists where we will have some time in the huaca sapantiana (Inca shrine) and then visit the colonial aqueduct of this Huaca, we will also have a stop at the colonial bridge of Choquechaqa to share a little of the history of the place we continue with the walk and arrive to the neighborhood of San Blas exactly to the Tandapata street.

This neighborhood is also known as the “Barrio de los Artesanos”, which is characterized by its narrow and long streets, and what to say of its striking and rustic colonial houses, its small squares, its staircases and the most attractive of this tour is that all the way and the walls are made of stone, we continue making the journey to the street 7 diablitos, 7 angelitos to reach the beautiful viewpoint of San Blas, where we will have another beautiful view and a time to enjoy this great place.

To continue with this fascinating experience we will know another important point known as the route of the Qapaqñan (the network of roads of the Inca), then descend to the main square of the neighborhood, enjoy its water fountains.

Then we head to the street of “Hatun Rumiyoc” to visit the stone of the 12 angles, we will have some time to dress in a typical costume of the area.

We will arrive to the main square of the city, surrounded by the imposing and beautiful colonial temples where we will have time for photos and explanation about the place, then we will continue our tour visiting the Choco museum of Cusco and we will have our workshop with chocolate.

Finishing all our tour we will have the afternoon free to visit the surroundings of the city.
